Things to do in Cyprus

Fun for All the Family

Other than the superb, year-round climate, a great deal of Cyprus’ popularity is down to the sheer range and depth of attractions that the island is able to boast. The golden sands, warm blue waters and a few accompanying watersports are more than enough to keep the majority of those looking for a break from their hectic lives busy for most of their stay but, as any parents of energetic kids will tell you, it soon loses its appeal for younger members of the family.

Historical day trips

As a crossroads for centuries of civilisations, the ruins, ancient buildings and archaeological sites delight and fascinate those with an astute interest in history and curious tourists alike but, once again, for most tireless teenagers, once you’ve seen one old building you’ve seen them all.

Keeping the kids entertained

And while mum and dad relax into a traditional, lazy Cypriot lunch which seems to last around three days and entail 465 different courses, the tiny toddlers have already downed their pizza slice, chips and ice cream and are raring to go again. Fortunately, when it comes to entertaining children of 2 to 102, much like those kids with their Cornettos, Cyprus has got it licked.

Activities for children

Cyprus really is a fantastic place for children and there are usually hundreds of beachside and poolside activities to keep them busy, but remember that the weather does get a little less than perfect during winter and that the middle of the day is extremely hot during the height of summer. So, how about taking your little monsters to see some bigger beasts?
